I’ve used Mel’s now for over 30 years and can’t recommend them highly enough. Nice friendly people. Decent work. Never push you to do work that isn’t necessary. It’s like getting my uncle to maintain my cars. I’d rather use Mel’s than any main dealership. You know it’s getting done right at Mel’s.
I've been with Mells Garage for many years. He's a very kind man. Always does a excellent job on my car. Never had any problems with his work. And I recommend to many people.
Mel has been my grandads best mate for years. Since I’ve got a car I’ve always rang him up and brought it in when needed, also the girlfriends. Currently he is stupidly busy and my MOT was due so I went to Halfords as I got a tenner off. Anyway they quoted me £900 for repairs, couldn’t catch my breath… it is an quite an old car and I knew it was due some maintenance… Anyway I rang Mel and he said ‘Bring it down you bugger’. He’s just rang me up and said it’ll cost you £420 Inc the Retest.

I've rung this garage on three separate occasions now to get quotes for various jobs doing, and they have never once rang me back! He's probably a decent mechanic judging by other comments, but he really needs to sort out a decent receptionist, as the current one must be costing him a fortune in lost work..
The owner was great fitted me in for a mot. Very polite and helpful would highly recommend
First rate service from friendly, knowledgable staff. At MOT, Mel and his team don’t “look for problems” or try to rip you off at all. Always happy to take on little jobs as well. Can’t rate highly enough!
